This drone repair cost estimator tells you two things in ten seconds: what kind of repair your fault usually is on your model — minor, moderate, major or board-level — and whether repairing it is likely to beat replacing the aircraft. It uses the same repair categories our bench uses. It is not a quote; your exact price is confirmed in writing after a free diagnosis, which is the only honest way to price a repair on a crashed aircraft.

Estimate your repair
Estimates describe the kind of repair involved; your exact price is confirmed in writing after a free diagnosis, before any work. The Drone Hospital is an independent repair shop and is not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by any drone manufacturer.
How to read the result
- Minor — props, landing gear, guards, a single arm, battery contacts: inexpensive parts and short bench time.
- Moderate — gimbal ribbon or motor, arm with motor, controller sticks or port, shell replacement: careful disassembly and recalibration.
- Major — full gimbal/camera assembly or a multi-part crash rebuild: an expensive module plus a full rebuild and test.
- Board-level — water damage, no-power, ESC or power faults: microscope work, quoted best-effort with a not-to-exceed figure.
- The cost guide explains what moves the price inside each category.
Why we do not just print a price
Two drones with the same symptom can need very different repairs: a “gimbal motor overloaded” warning is a ribbon cable on one aircraft and a camera module on the next. Printing one number would be wrong for half of them. Instead, diagnosis is free, the quote is written and itemized, and nothing happens until you approve it — with a 90-day limited warranty on the repair you approve.
Mail it in or drop it off
- Mail-in from anywhere in the U.S. — request a quote, get your RMA number and shipping instructions, pack the aircraft with two inches of padding and the RMA number inside the box (packing checklist).
- Batteries: ship at or below 30% charge, ground only, no more than two spares, never a swollen or damaged pack — see the battery shipping guide.
- Local drop-off by appointment in Cumming, GA (north metro Atlanta) — see drop-off details.
Common questions
How accurate is the estimator?
It is accurate about the kind of repair and the repair-or-replace logic, because those follow from the model and the fault. The exact price depends on which part failed and on parts availability, which is why the written quote comes after a free diagnosis.
Does using the estimator commit me to anything?
No. It stores nothing but your selections in your own browser so the quote form can be pre-filled. The free diagnosis and written quote are the only steps before any decision.
Can I estimate an Autel or Skydio repair?
Yes — the model list includes Autel EVO and Skydio aircraft. Parts for those often come from donor aircraft, so the quote may take a little longer to confirm.
