DJI Mini 4 Pro repair is mostly about the nose. The 3-axis gimbal and its ribbon cable hang below the front of a 249-gram airframe, and in a tip-over or a nose-first landing they are the first thing to touch the ground; the omnidirectional vision sensors live in the same shell and scratch easily, which quietly disables the obstacle sensing that made you buy the aircraft. Behind that, the front arm hinges crack at the pivot and the battery contacts bend when the pack ejects on impact. All of it is repairable, and because the Mini 4 Pro holds its value, almost all of it is worth repairing. We diagnose for free, quote in writing, and work at component level so a torn ribbon stays a ribbon job rather than a whole-camera bill.

- Water & liquid damage — aircraft went into water and will not power on
- Arms, motors & ESCs — “ESC error”, “motor blocked” or “motor stall” warning
- Remote controller — controller will not pair or keeps dropping the link
- Firmware & calibration — firmware update failed or the aircraft is stuck in a boot loop
What it costs and how long it takes
Diagnosis is free. We send a written, itemized quote before any work; no parts are ordered and nothing is opened until you approve it. Most repairs are priced flat-rate so the written quote is the full cost; complex board-level work may be quoted hourly, always before it starts.
Most common repairs are completed within days of quote approval, parts availability permitting. You get a timeline with your quote.
Every repair is covered by our 90-day limited repair warranty on the specific part and workmanship we repaired.
Repair or replace a DJI Mini 4 Pro?
A Mini 4 Pro sells new for several hundred dollars and holds its value well, so a gimbal ribbon, an arm or a sensor window is comfortably worth repairing. The only case where we pause is a crash that has broken the camera module and the main board, where the quote can approach the aircraft’s used value — and we tell you that plainly after the free diagnosis rather than quoting it anyway.
Specs that matter for repair
- DJI Mini 4 Pro (2023) — sub-250 g, 249 g takeoff weight
- Camera: 1/1.3-inch 48 MP, 3-axis gimbal, vertical shooting
- Sensing: omnidirectional vision sensors
Mail it in or drop it off
- Mail-in from anywhere in the U.S. — request a quote, get your RMA number and shipping instructions, pack the aircraft with two inches of padding and the RMA number inside the box (packing checklist).
- Batteries: ship at or below 30% charge, ground only, no more than two spares, never a swollen or damaged pack — see the battery shipping guide.
- Local drop-off by appointment in Cumming, GA (north metro Atlanta) — see drop-off details.
Common questions
My Mini 4 Pro says gimbal motor overloaded after a small bump. Do I need a new camera?
Usually not. On the Mini 4 Pro that warning is most often a bent yaw arm or a ribbon cable with a broken trace. We replace the failed part and recalibrate; the camera module is only replaced when it tested faulty.
Obstacle avoidance stopped working after a crash. Is that a sensor or software?
Often a scratched or cracked sensor window, sometimes a loosened sensor cable. Both are hardware fixes we do routinely; a firmware refresh alone will not bring it back.
Can I mail my Mini 4 Pro with the battery inside?
Yes, if the pack is healthy: charge it to 30 percent or less, ship by ground, no more than two spare packs, and never ship a swollen or damaged battery. Our battery shipping guide has the full rules.
